Review: Blackstyle"The one thing their site doesn't have! A frontal view of the straight-jacket. Briefs, fox and Ikea bedding not included." The BasicsBlackstyle is a company native to Europe, with it's best shipping times and most affordable pricing being from there although they do ship world-wide. This company's website is bright and clean, with a great deal of polish to it (like their rubber) and for the most part very user friendly, along with translations in both English and German. Their stock is reasonably broad, though it suffers from some gaps, notably breath-control gear. They do, however, have pretty much anything else you could care to get from a site like this, including tickets for local events and a free (with order) catalogue in full colour which is definitely worth a look with an excellent spread of their merchandise and excellent quality fetish photography. Shopping ExperienceThe reviewer has ordered some items from Blackstyle and has found them both courteous and quick in their business transactions. Their gear is always of excellent quality, with thick or thin rubber and tough straps and rivetting. They also have a lot of gear that is harder to find (puppyplay gear in rubber, for instance, and a lot of heavy bondage gear) and can do a lot of custom sizes for things like catsuits, which is nice. It is worth noting that they also make suits for a number of North American distributors, such as Toronto's Northbound Leather. Of note is their heavy bondage gear, which is arguably some of the best out there with the possible exception of Studio Gum; and definitely the best for the price. The review has purchased one of their straight-jackets along with a collar and belt and found them to be very rugged and extremly nice (the straight-jacket has been the most used piece of his collection, despite being added recently) and very rugged. The only thing this review finds lacking is the use of smooth edges on the belts, which can dig into skin rather painfully if not adjusted properly; this tends to be a disadvantage with their heavier collar unless there is thick rubber under it. Further NotesBlackstyle's gear is often made when the order is placed, so there's often a lead time of up to a week before shipping. That said they sell gear in many different thicknesses and colours without appreciable increases in shipping time, so this is balanced out if you want something a little more personalized. They also do custom fittings (with measurements) for many pieces, which is a nice touch for those of odd sizes:
